here's our experience schedule, designed to provide a memorable experience in the pearl of africa

Day 1: Arrival in kampala

  • On arrival at Entebbe International Airport a member of Intimate Africa team will welcome you and transfer you to the Boma guesthouse for the evening. The Boma is a colonial homestead just outside of town and offers views of the lake. Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing in the garden or exploring the city of Entebbe

Day 2 & 3: Murchison's fall's national park

  • Early this morning you’ll be flown from Entebbe to the Pakuba Airstrip near the stunning Murchison Falls National Park. Transfer from the airstrip to the Paraa Safari Lodge, a small beautiful lodge on the banks of the Nile River in the park. Enjoy lunch overlooking the river, before embarking on a game drive to explore the national park. Start the next day with an early breakfast and then a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to search for more wildlife. The area around the lodge is known to have giraffe, elephants, lions and several types of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch, before continuing your game viewing with cruise on the river Nile in the afternoon.

Day 4 & 5: Kibale forest national park

  • Today after breakfast you will be transferred to the Pakuba Airport and fly to the Kasese Airstrip near the Kibale Forest National Park via Entebbe in the late morning. After meeting your safari representative, you’ll begin the drive to the Primate Lodge Kibale which is in the heart of the national park. Sit back and relax after your travel day as you wait for dinner at the lodge.
  • This morning enjoy a chance to track wild chimpanzees and other primates on a guided nature walk through the forest. The Kibale Forest has some of the largest concentration of primates in East Africa. Transfer following lunch to the Bigodi Swamp to track more primates and to spot the many species of birds in the region.

Day 6 & 7: queen elizabeth national park

  • After breakfast, you’ll make your way from the Kibale Forest through the crater lakes area to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive is a stunning one as you pass by small lakes and rolling hills. Embark on a short game drive once inside the park as you continue to the Mweya Safari Lodge for two nights.
  • The next day begins early with a game drive through the Uganda Kobs as you search for lions, elephants and buffalo. After lunch, you’ll head out on a boat cruise of the Kazinga Channel to search for more wildlife including hippo and elephants who cool off along the shore.

Day 8 & 9: bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

  • Today is another slow start as you fly from the Kasese Airstrip to the Kihihi Airstrip near the Bwindi Forest National Park. From the airstrip, you’ll transfer to the Mahogany Springs, a new lodge in the Bwindi National Park. The afternoon will be spent at Leisure to relax and prepare for your gorilla tracking or head out on a guided forest walk.
  • The next day is the highlight of your 10-day tour of Uganda as today you get to track the gentle mountain gorillas of Uganda. The day is long and tiring but once you get to observe this stunning creatures in their natural habitat you’ll realise it was all worth it. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and stories around the table.
